Our Philosophy

At Nurtured at Home children are our first priority.

We offer children and families high quality learning environments in a safe and nurturing home. We recognise that children learn best through play, and empower each child to explore and participate at their own pace.

Our in-home Educators are supported by qualified, experienced Early Childhood Teachers to ensure that learning experiences challenge children's skills, knowledge and interests, and these opportunities are not limited by gender, ethnicity, culture, ability or background.

Building reciprocal relationships and a sense of belonging is vital to ensure quality outcomes for Educators, families/whānau and children/tamariki. Our qualified, registered and experienced Visiting Teachers will form part of the respectful relationship between Educators and families/whānau, providing ongoing guidance, support, and pastoral care to enable each child to reach their full potential.

Language, Culture, IdentityTangata Whenuatanga

We recognise and celebrate each child’s language, culture and identity. This is authentically woven throughout quality and nurturing care and education in partnership with families/whānau. Our learning environments ensure each child experiences a sense of belonging, safe in the knowledge that their own ways of knowing, ways of doing, and ways of being are respected.
